Dealing with menstrual pain

Abdominal pain before and during menstruation is quite normal. But this certainly does not mean that it is pleasant or desirable. For many women, proven household remedies provide comfort and relief from menstrual pain. For times when these remedies are ineffective or unavailable, Buscopan® Plus is an effective treatment that delivers fast relief from menstrual pain.

If you notice that your menstrual pain is worsening, or that your usual menstrual cycle becomes irregular, or if your experience abdominal pain at unexpected times in your cycle, please seek the advice of a qualified medical practitioner. She or he will be able to help you find the cause of the changes.

Your personal cycle timer

Menstrual pain can, to a degree, be predicted by monitoring your body's hormone cycle. This interactive cycle timer gives you an insight into your hormone levels at each point in your cycle. The two dotted curves show how your hormone production rises and falls. The third line shows the probability of menstrual cramps and pains.

Simply enter the date of your most recent period. The timer (based on a 28 day cycle) will automatically give you an approximate date for your next ovulation, and when you can expect to experience menstrual cramps again.
